Commencement of Mata Ka Jagran
The Jagran begins with great enthusiasm and devotion. The sacred flame, known as Akhand Jyoti, is lit to symbolize the eternal divine presence of Maa Durga. This flame is kept burning throughout the night, signifying the continuous flow of divine energy and the unwavering faith of the devotees. The Akhand Jyoti represents purity, wisdom, and the guiding light of Maa Durga that removes darkness from one’s life.
Following the lighting of the Akhand Jyoti, the program starts with Vandana, a soulful invocation to seek the blessings of the Goddess. This can be performed by a designated singer or by any devotee who wishes to express their devotion through music. The Vandana sets the tone for the rest of the night, filling the atmosphere with spiritual fervor.
